Seeing Stripes!

Happy Tuesday everyone! I hope you all are having a wonderful day!

Please forgive the lack of blog posts, but I've been quite the busy bee as of late! This past March has been quite the adventure! Full of birthdays, photography, and travel! It's been so fun, but I am so glad I can come to my little happy place! This blog is my favorite way to wind down and do what I love the most! My fashion and blog have been a great creative outlet for me, and I really wish I could it more! I have even been thinking of incorporating my own photography into this blog! Hopefully I can start doing that very soon!

For today's look, as you could see I was definitely feeling the stripes! And not just your regular everyday stripes! No, this super adorable ruffled sleeves striped top from The Vintage Peach! I absolutely adore this top! It's been one of my favorites ever since I saw it on the rack. The statement sleeves are my favorite detail! I mean I know I own a ton of black and white striped clothes, but I could not say no to this!

I've since paired this top every which way, but for this post I went with a simpler look. Looking back, I would have paired it with solid black jeans instead of ripped, but oh well! We all make mistakes. Even I can admit my fashion faux pas!

Speaking of faux pas! Did you knew that giant framed sunglasses are no longer in style?! OMG! Do I care?? Nah! I love my giant framed sunglasses, and I've tried the tiny framed ones that are currently in trend, and it's a big nope for me! My head is too big for those teeny tiny things, and I like the shrinking affect my massive ones have! Haha you don't always have to follow every single trend guys! If you like what you're wearing and it makes you comfortable, then go for it!

For my other accessoires, I paired some black ankle booties from Dress Up and my Daniel Wellington watch to complete this look! For this look, you could also pair it with a statement necklace, tassel earrings, a belt, or anything you want to stand out! Or, if that's not your style, you could also tone it down, which is always nice for a classic look!

I really do love this look! I feel like I'm traveling abroad in it, especially when adding a red lip! I may as well be in Paris! Maybe one day! <3

So that is it for this look today! My apologies for the lack of posts! Again, busy busy bee! I will hopefully will be posting more soon and even including my own photography. To be honest, I'm sure we're all getting tired of my face! Lol just kidding! ;D

Spring Has Sprung!

Spring has sprung!

Happy Spring everyone! Well, it's not quite spring yet. In fact, it's the 1st of March, so official Spring is still a few weeks away, but down here in the South the spring season has arrived! And my favorite part of Spring would definitely have to be the amazing Spring fashions! Florals are here and I am obsessed! But with Spring, also comes change and the birth of new and amazing things!

As you may or may not have noticed, I've been on a bit of a hiatus these past few months. No need to worry though, just took some time for myself and for a bit of reflection! Now, I will say though that this new year has actually been turning out to be one of the bests!

So many exciting things are happening! I am currently re-launching my photography business, I am opening up my own studio, Christopher and I are very close to booking our dream wedding venue, and I'm starting a brand new job at one of my favorite boutiques, The Vintage Peach! Today's Spring look even incorporates one of their latest tops from their Spring collection!

 It's seriously one of my favorite tops I've ever gotten from there! I just love the combination with the navy and the rust colored flowers. Plus, it's sooo soft and flowy! I've been wearing it all the time, even to sleep in! Haha It has definitely been one of my latest go-to's if you couldn't tell! For going out on the town, I've been pairing it with my favorite distressed boyfriend jeans and booties from Dress Up, but at home it's perfect when paired with some leggings to stay comfy and cozy! I love it!

Plus, pairing this look with the perfect necklace really brings it all together! I got this necklace last summer from Dress Up, and it works perfectly for this spring time look! Anything gold with a hint of pink will eventually end up in my closet!

For this Spring, if you’re looking for the cutest and comfiest pieces, I couldn’t recommend the stores more that helped create this ensemble! Dress Up and The Vintage Peach have been my go-to boutiques! I absolutely love all of their new arrivals, and I can honestly say I never go a morning not knowing what to wear, because they have been keeping my wardrobe fully stocked! 

And my favorite thing especially about The Vintage Peach is that they cater to all different shapes and sizes. I know I’m not a skinny girl and I can’t always find things that will flatter my curves, but The Vintage Peach has soooooo many options form plus size and curvier girls! I love keeping modest and being comfortable in whatever I wear, and there I can always find multiple things that are perfect for my shape and I don’t have to worry about feeling like I’m sacrificing my style, because everything is so fashionable and on trend!

And as my wedding approaches, I’m working on my health and getting in shape for the big day. I may not be the size I want to be right now, but finding things that flatter me help make this lifestyle transition so much easier!  Being body positive isn’t always easy, especially after the Holidays. It’s hard getting back on track, but when I love the clothes I’m in, all the negativity washes away and I know I can rock whatever I’m in no matter what size I am!

I can already tell that this Spring will bring new and amazing things, but 2018 is truly looking out to be one of the best years! As I continue growing my blog, getting back in photography, starting my new job, prepping for the wedding, and improving my fitness and health, I feel that I can accomplish so much when I put my mind to it! I feel so blessed that I am in such an amazing place and being able to do what I love. I hope you all stay tuned for what’s in store, because I can assure you it will only continue to flourish from here!

Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas everyone! I hope you are all having a marvelous day and are able to spend it with those you hold dear to you. I am so blessed to be home with my family on this day, and though it's been a different Christmas for us, we just thank God that we get to spend it together!

I just love Christmas and all the joy it brings! Whether you are spending today at home, traveling, or wherever it may be, the holiday spirit is all around! To commemorate today's festivities, here's one of my favorite looks of the holiday season!

When I think of Christmas, RED definitely comes to mind! Red, green, and white, the holy trinity of Christmas colors! Though the only green I have are the trees, this festive look really brings out my Christmas spirit! This red sweater from Dress Up is perfect for today! With the high collar and bell sleeves, it brings a unique touch to this holiday classic outfit! Pairing this with my white tassel earring, also from Dress Up, this merry ensemble is perfect for any fun festivities going on today! With my favorite high-rise black jeans and some black boots, you can't go wrong with this look this Christmas season!

I just can't get enough of today! I hope you all have such an amazing Christmas and got everything you wished for! Though Christmas is so much more than about the presents, it's always fun to find out what's under the tree! And special thanks to Shelby Robinson for these lovely photos! Funny story, we were supposed to shoot out in the field with all the Christmas trees, but there was a raging cow on the loose at the farm! I know right?! But thank goodness we found the gorgeous decorated Christmas tree inside, making it a perfect backdrop for this festive photoshoot! Haha!

Tis the Season

Happy Friday anyone! Only 3 more days til CHRISTMAS!! I can't believe it's almost already here! I hope you all finished up your Christmas shopping! I've been a little behind this year, but this girl can get a lot of shopping done in 3 days!

It's been quite a different Christmas for my family this year however. My dear grandfather, Papa as my brother and I call him, passed away this month. He was one of the strongest and most incredible men that I have ever known, and I love him so much and he will always be in my heart, so I'd love to dedicate this post to him! I pray that he is at peace and looking down on all of us this upcoming Christmas and can be with us during this time of year. I love you Papa!

Now, during this very special time of year, I love spending time with family, drinking hot chocolate, and getting all dressed up for the holiday festivities! Well, there's also watching Christmas movies, opening presents, singing Christmas carols, baking cookies, celebrating Jesus, etc... Well, there's a whole bunch of things that I love about this time of year, but considering this is a blog post about my holiday look, here we are! Lol! 

For this Christmas, majority of my shopping has consisted of Target (obviously) and boutique shopping! I was talking about this with some of my family, and during December all the malls and department stores can be so overwhelming and crowded, that shopping at little boutiques just takes all that stress away! Less people plus less stuff equals So besides all the gifts I've purchased, this look came together thanks to some of my favorite little boutiques! Let's take a look!

I hit up my two favorite shops, Dress Up and The Vintage Peach! They have all the best gifts for all your favorite ladies in your life, and not to mention the cutest looks for all your holiday needs! This look included!

I am absolutely in love with this stunning off the shoulder sweater from Dress Up! It's one of my favorite tops to dress up or down during this season! White is just one of those colors that reminds me the first fallen snow (Though, we don't get too much here in Georgia), and I just love the bell sleeves! It makes this look so unique and stylish. Perfect for any holiday gathering! You can pair it with a skirt, dress pants, or even some high-rise ripped jeans like I did for a more dressed down look! These jeans, also from Dress Up, have been my absolute go-to pair ever since I bought them! They're so comfy and stretchy, perfect for Christmas dinner! Haha! I don't know what I would do without them!

Dress Up also came through in the accessory department as well! My tan ankle booties and purse, two of my favorites, are also from there! This purse I've been using for well over the last year went so well with this look, that I decided that it was about time I featured a bag of some sorts in one of my posts! I loooove bags, but for some reason I never accessorize with them, which I really should start doing! They truly add so much to any outfit! I have so many cute clothes, but not enough bags! Same with shoes! There's no such thing as too many shoes!

My other favorite boutique, The Vintage Peach, is a newer one I recently discovered! Located in Hoschton, Georgia, it's the cutest little shop full of fun trendy and vintage pieces! I fell in love with my rose gold, marble watch from there, as well as my white, beaded earrings that perfectly complimented my sweater! It was a match made in fashion heaven! 

I just love this time of year and all the joy it brings! Though I love all the fun fashion and gifts, the greatest gift this year has truly been my family. Even in the hardest of times, it's brought us closer together and made us stronger. I will miss my Papa every day, and I know that he will be with us this Christmas in our hearts.
